Our Mission

We are here to provide the most modern, effective public library services possible to our patrons as a provider of popular reading materials, quality reference services, and a wide range of programs, activities, materials, and services for children and adults.

Library Profiles

The East Hartford Public Library System consists of two libraries, Raymond Library, the main branch, and the Wickham Library and Literacy Center,  a small branch library which also houses Literacy Volunteers, CT River East. 

The East Hartford Public Library System collection is approximately 200,000 books, and more than 10,000 CD's, audiocassettes, videos, and DVD'S.
