MUSEUM PASSES Ask about our MUSEUM PASSES! How Do I Get a Museum Pass? Passes may be reserved only one day in advance, either by phone or in person. You do not need to be an East Hartford resident to use the pass, but you do need your valid adult library card from your town. A driver's license is not acceptable. Patrons must pick up the pass by noon of the day for which it is reserved, or they may lose their reservation. Only one pas per adult library card is allowed. Family members cannot check out the same pass more than once within thirty (30) days. When Does the Museum Pass Need to be Returned? The museum pass is charged out for 2 days. The pass can be returned up to the closing of the library on the second day. A TEN DOLLAR security deposit (cash only) is taken when the pass is loaned. If the pass is returned late, the library keeps the security deposit. There is a fine of $10.00 per day if the pass is not returned. Museum passes are not renewable. Should I Call the Museum for Hours and Fees? Yes. Museums will often change their hours or increase fees. Passes may not cover the total cost of admission. It is a good idea to call the museum you are interested in ahead of time, or check their website for the most up-to-date information.
